Chapter Surveying Sites
Site Locations
FrogWatch volunteers are welcome to choose their own site to monitor but if you do not have a site in mind, here are a some suggestions.
Please note the hours that each location is open.
South County Location - Jefferson Barracks Park
Hours: 8 a.m. - 30 minutes past sunset
West County Location - Tilles Park
Hours: 8 a.m. - 30 minutes past sunset
Parking: From Gregg Rd., turn onto North Rd. and drive around loop to park park near the walking trail. From there, you can follow the walking trail to the pond.
Parking: After entering the park, follow one-way signs and turn right at the fork. After the first parking area, turn right onto the road that leads to the Tilles Park Lake. Park in the lot next to the lake and the Windegger Shelter.
Forest Park - Kennedy Forest
Hours: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Forest Park - Deer Lake
Hours: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Parking: Park along Government Dr. just past the end of the St. Louis Zoo's North Parking Lot.
Parking: Park on Grand Dr. near the intersection of Union Blvd. and Grand Dr. Walk to the small pond near Grand Dr.
North County - Hudson Park
Hours: 6:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
North County - Bellefontaine Cemetery
Hours: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Parking: Turn onto North College Dr. from Hudson Dr. Park at the Hudson Park parking lot on your right.
Parking: After entering the cemetery from the main entrance off of W. Florissant Ave., turn right. Follow road until you can make another right turn. Park along the road next to one of the two ponds.
